EZULWINI – The last day of the 40/58 double celebrations in the kingdom saw musicians composing music hailing the King’s reign and leadership.

Sunday evening wrapped up the three-day long celebrations in the country that were held at the recently opened Ezulwini Palazzo Hotel, with a number of performances rendering pieces that the attendees all loved. The entertainment programme directors, Phiwokuhle Dlamini and Gciniwe Fakudze kept the crowd entertained and flawlessly engaged with them.

The first performance of the night was Nigerian vocalist Elsa who rendered a beautiful prayer piece for Their Majesties, praising the peace that emaSwati are globally acclaimed for.

After the vocalist’s rendition, a special collab from local artists featuring Linda Dlamini, Nomzamo Dlamini, Bholoja Ngubane, Floewe and KrTC took to the stage with their hit ‘Bayethe’. The performance showed nothing but immense joy from the musicians and celebration of the country’s magnificent milestones.

Bholoja  remained behind after their collaboration to deliver  a heartwarming rendition of his hit song ‘Zero to Hero’, charming the audience in the presence of Their Majesties with his soulful energy and stirring memo that the attendees hummed to.

The Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force Choir, led by Mathokoza Sibiya, also got an opportunity to perform before Their Majesties with an interesting piece that celebrated both the King’s reign and birthday, adding a touch of warm voices and spiritual accord to the Garden Party.

A performance that captured everyone’s attention and was the highlight of the night was the collaboration between princesses Sikhanyiso and Tebukhosi with the Limkokwing Choir and the Mbabane Chamber Orchestra.

The performance was truly a moving one as all guests were glued to the stage from the first verse until the very last one. Princess Sikhanyiso also gave a few verses from her famous song ‘Hail Your Majesty’ that got massive screams from guests at the dinner.
