This week, Style has secured a style executive that takes us through a Gospel sensation taking up the space like never before, bringing you a Gospel powerhouse and wonderful woman, Nothando Hlophe, a celebrated figure in the Gospel fraternity.

Nothando Hlophe is a proud liSwati woman, born and raised in Eswatini. Her early life was immersed in a musical environment, with influences stemming from church choirs, family harmonies and community gatherings where singing was an integral part of daily life. From a young age, she recognised that music was not merely a passion but her calling.

“I knew that music was not just something I loved ; it was my calling. Over  the years , that passion has grown into a ministry”

Her journey has been characterised by growth, faith and discovery. She commenced her musical career as a backing vocalist, gaining experience in discipline and humility through service to others in the industry. Over time, she transitioned into a solo artist, releasing music that resonates with the heart and soul. Each new album stage and collaboration has contributed to her development as an artist and woman of faith.

“Today I am in a space where my  music feels more purposeful than ever not just about melodies, but about ministry”. Her latest album ‘A New Dawn’ has been a significant blessing. It has reached audiences in ways she could only have imagined.

The album has charted on Spotify among some of South Africa’s most loved Gospel voices, which she finds humbling. Beyond the streams and numbers, her greatest achievement is hearing how her songs have touched lives. She has received messages from people saying that her music carried them through dark times or helped them find peace again. For her, this is the true measure of success.

In her album, she released ‘Sithumela Wena’  which has surpassed 350 00 views on YouTube, her ‘Methodist Medley’, another song in the album, had more than 300 000 views this week on YouTube and hit the highest daily peak at number 73 on SA Spotify Daily Chart. Another music video out is ‘Babheka Kuye’, already making waves on social media with already 500 000 views on YouTube within four days of music video release .
