For Lusanda Magagula, beauty is more than make-up and polished nails, it is about confidence, self-expression and making people feel good about themselves. The young entrepreneur from Luve is the founder of Sobahlekazi Glam Studio, a growing beauty brand specialising in nail artistry and make-up services.
Magagula said the business was born from passion and determination to create something meaningful for herself and her community. What started as a small dream with limited resources has now grown into a recognised beauty studio attracting clients from different areas. “We started very small, using basic equipment and working from home, but through consistency, patience and believing in my craft, the business has grown tremendously,” she said.
Sobahlekazi Glam Studio offers professional nail applications, customised nail art designs and make-up services for different occasions. From elegant French tips to bold creative designs, the studio continues to impress clients with quality work and attention to detail. The entrepreneur said her vision is to build a trusted beauty brand that empowers women to feel beautiful and confident while creating employment opportunities for young people interested in the beauty industry.
“Our mission is to provide quality beauty services while creating a welcoming environment where every client feels valued and appreciated,” she added.
Magagula described herself as a positive and supportive leader who believes in uplifting others. She said maintaining positive energy in the business starts with treating clients with kindness, respect and professionalism.
“I always make sure clients feel comfortable and appreciated. Good customer service, consistency and listening to what clients want helps keep them happy,” she said. She further encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs not to give up when facing challenges. According to her, building a business requires patience, discipline and resilience.
“People must expect challenges such as financial struggles, self-doubt and competition, but they should never stop believing in themselves. Success does not happen overnight,” she said. Although she did not always imagine herself owning a growing beauty brand, Magagula said her passion for beauty and creativity became the driving force behind her success.
“My biggest motivation was wanting to build something for myself and inspire other young women to chase their dreams,” she said.
The entrepreneur is currently focused on expanding her brand and improving her skills in the beauty industry. She also revealed that she is currently reading ‘The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster’ by Darren Hardy, a book she says motivates her to remain focused and resilient in business.
Through Sobahlekazi Glam Studio, she hopes to continue empowering clients and proving that small businesses can grow into something impactful with dedication and hard work.
