SWAZILAND TO HOST SADC SUMMIT FASHION SHOW
MBABANE – Swazi fashion designers should get ready to showcase their designs during the SADC Summit Fashion show to be hosted at the Happy Valley Hotel next month.
As the SADC Summit will be hosted in the Kingdom of Swaziland, the fashion industry in Swaziland has decided to host a SADC Fashion show which will be hosted at the Happy Valley Hotel from August 26 till 27, 2016.
During the SADC Fashion show, different designs from countries such as Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi and South Africa will be showcased on, the Swazi ramp during the scheduled SADC Summit weekend.

The committee that is behind the upcoming fashion show encourages all fashion designers to take part and get to feel how international fashion shows are showcased as they will be provided with professional models who will be choreographed by professionals.
The committee spokesperson Mbalenhle Manana said, “This is an exciting experience for Swaziland and Swazi fashion designers as we will be hosting our first Summit in Swaziland and it is also a privilege to host a fashion show during summit.
“As the fashion show committee we are expecting more than 10 designers from South Africa who are mostly designers for big fashion shows such as Soweto Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz South Africa Fashion week and Tshwane Fashion Festival. We are hoping that more Swazi designers will join us during show in order to showcase the beautiful Swazi designs to other SADC countries.”
“There will be casting for the models which will be held at the Arts and Culture offices in Manzini on July 23, 2016.

All models around Swaziland who wish to be part of SADC Summit fashion show should bring along their Z-cards.

Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture CEO, Stanley Dlamini in addition said, “The idea is at planning stage but it is a nice concept.
“Most of the delegates who will be attending the SADC Summit will get the opportunity to experience the SADC Summit Fashion show in Swaziland.”
