(At EOCGA Head Offices)
LOBAMBA – FIBA through EOCGA has injected E170 000 into Basketball Eswatini (BASE).
This was revealed by Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maxwell Jele yesterday. A press conference was staged at the EOCGA Head Offices in Lobamba.
“Basketball Eswatini has been awarded financial support from Olympic Solidarity to undertake this very important activity. Now we all know the history of basketball and efforts that they have made, particularly the new executive in trying to rebuild basketball in the country,” Jele said.
The funds will be utilised to implement the Basketball Level 1 Coaching Course set to commence tomorrow at this venue. The course will be facilitated by an international facilitator and it is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, albeit with strict requirements. Cameroonian Lazare Adingono, a trailblazer from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), will land in the country today in preparation for the course.
