MBABANE - The Somhlolo National Stadium is set to ignite tonight, as a galaxy of former South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) stars graces Eswatini shores.

In a high-profile international friendly, Eswatini champions Nsingizini Hotspurs host Zimbabwe’s rising powerhouse, Scottland FC, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.

The visiting side, often dubbed the ‘Mamelodi Sundowns’ of Zimbabwe, boasts a roster that reads like a PSL hall of fame. Fans will be treated to the clinical brilliance of Khama Billiat, the predatory instincts of Knowledge Musona and the aerial prowess of Terrence Dzvukamanja. These icons have transitioned from the bright lights of South Africa to spearhead a revolution at Scottland FC, a club backed by the immense wealth of gold tycoon and MP Pedzai ‘Scott’ Sakupwanya.

Billiat played for big teams in South Africa that include Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns. Musona also had a stint with Kaizer Chiefs. Dzvukamanja once played for both Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United.

The ‘Mamelodi Sundowns’ comparison it is rooted in unprecedented success and financial muscle. Scottland FC recently made history by clinching the 2025 Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League title in their debut season—a feat not seen since Black Rhinos in 1984. To further cement their elite status, they have appointed Sundowns legend Peter Ndlovu to their management team for the 2026 campaign.

Tonight’s clash also serves as a homecoming of sorts. Scottland recently raided the Nsingizini ranks to sign Sihlangu’s versatile full-back Kwakhe Thwala, highlighting the growing synergy between the two clubs. With sponsorship deals worth millions allowing them to outspend traditional giants like Dynamos and Highlanders, Scottland FC represent the new frontier of Southern African football. For the Eswatini faithful, this is a rare opportunity to witness continental legends in the flesh, as the visitors look to assert their dominance beyond their borders.
