MBABANE – Gospel artists will get the opportunity of marketing their music on Swazi TV.

ACASWA has since launched a TV programme known as ‘Emahubo Endvumiso’.
ACASWA stands for the Association of Christian Artists in Swaziland. This is the mother body of all gospel music artists in the country.
The pro-gramme will be scree-ned before the end of the month. Already some of the programme’s series have been recorded.

The recording began last week at the Jamming House in Manzini. Each episode lasts for an hour and three artists are featured.
At least six artists have already been recorded so far and these include Nduduzo Matse, Zodwa Samboko, Pastor Fine Mhlanga, Phatwakahle, Phiwokwakhe and Sithembiso Tfwala

Dumisani Manana, ACASWA President said this programme was meant to promote local artists and they expect all artists to take part.
“Some of the recordings have already been done and artists seem to be excited with the concept,” he said.
“We urge artists to work hand in hand with us as we want this programme to be a success. This is an opportunity for the artists to use so they can market their music.”

Manana said they would inform the public when the first episode of the programme would be screened.
“We are still busy with the recording and we are also finalising with Swazi TV as to when the first episode would be screened,” he said.
“If things go well, this will happen before the end of the month. We want to make sure that when the programme starts, we have all the material ready. At the moment we are busy working on having most artists recorded.”

He said they would be deciding the list of artists to record and therefore artists should wait for a call from the committee.
“We urge all artists to be ready as they can be called at anytime,” he said.
“We do have a list of artists and we will be calling them according to the list that ACASWA has.”

Meanwhile Enock Mkhwanazi has been identified as one of the presenters of the programme.
Manana who is a member of Emandle’gazi Gospel Group would co-host the show with another presenter who would be announced shortly by the organisation.

“I can confirm that Mkhwanazi as one of the presenter,” he said.
“The other presenter would be announced soon. Once everything has been finalised, we will inform the public.”
