From AI-first wearables to next-generation smartphones and smart home helpers, these are the standout gadgets that dominated conversations around the world and why they mattered.

Meta Ray-Ban display smart glasses – September 2025 (Meta)

Meta made headlines with its Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses, unveiled at Meta Connect and released globally from late September.

These stylish Wayfarer-style frames bring augmented reality to everyday life, projecting info like live captions, translation and navigation directly into the wearer’s view.

Equipped with a camera, speakers and voice control, they were widely praised as the first truly mainstream AR glasses that don’t look like futuristic prototypes.
