MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers and hosts, Amawele, will play at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground this Saturday.
The last time the sports ground was used was last season, when the ‘Weslians’ faced the then Illovo, rebranded to Ubombo Sugar, almost a year and some change later.
Meanwhile, Manzini Wanderers Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mongi Simelane shared that they are concerned for safety as the venue does not have the right facilities to barricade fans that could potentially pose as a danger to the players.
“We have safety concerns for the venue we have been hosted at. It’s unfortunate that we have no say because we are being hosted,” remarked Simelane.
He said the sports ground’s openness makes it tricky to play such a fixture at the venue, citing that they would have at least opted for the Killarney Sports Ground at Pigg’s Peak.
