MBABANE – The curtain officially falls on another enthralling MTN Premier League season this weekend.

While the relegation dogfight concludes on Saturday, the uncrowned champions, Nsingizini Hotspurs, will return to Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday for a top-of-the-table clash against Manzini Sea Birds.

The back-to-back champions, who lifted the Ingwenyama Cup at the same venue just over two weeks ago, secured the league title with three matches to spare. However, they will undoubtedly want to cap off their historic campaign in style. Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm.

The confirmation comes as part of the official fixture list released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Mavuso Sports Centre, Killarney Sports Ground and King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano will host a series of pulsating relegation battles 24 hours earlier.

Malanti Chiefs, Sisonkhe FC and Amawele remain heavily entangled in the drop zone. They face tough final-day assignments against Moneni Pirates, Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers, respectively.

With Wanderers’ relegation already confirmed, two more teams will drop down automatically on Saturday, while the side finishing 13th will be handed a top-flight lifeline via the play-offs.

In addition to lifting the coveted trophy, the league champions will pocket a cool E1.1 million in prize money.

Nsingizini Hotspurs will be officially crowned MTN Premier League champions at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday.
