SITEKI – National First Division (NFD) side Red Rhinos has received a significant financial injection of E500 000 as they launch their campaign for promotion into the Premier League.

The boost, along with a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SOS Children’s Village Eswatini, was officially announced by Club President Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba yesterday at the Espinho Restaurant and Bar.

The E500 000 package is a collective contribution from four sponsors: Swazi House Motors, Ngudze Trust Holdings, Inkemba Logistics and Jozane Suppliers.

“I should announce that the sponsors have currently contributed about E500 000 aimed at running Rhinos this season,” President Mamba said during the event. “However, we still hope to get more, as the club needs E1 million to achieve our dream of getting promotion to the Premier League.”

The launch event was attended by Dvokodvweni Member of Parliament (MP) and Sports Portfolio Committee Chairman Sifiso Shabalala, as well as Simphiwe Dlamini, who represented the town’s mayor.

The event also served as the official launch of the team in Siteki and the signing of the three-year MoU with SOS Children’s Village Eswatini, a non-profit organisation that assists vulnerable children.
