MBABANE - Nsingizini Hotspurs continued their relentless march at the summit of the log, proving far too strong for a struggling Amawele outfit at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground yesterday.

The league leaders secured a comfortable 2-0 victory, extending an impressive unbeaten streak that dates back to January 17.

The win moves ‘Insingizi Yezulu’ to 54 points, opening a seven-point gap over second-placed Manzini Sea Birds, who sit on 47 points following their 2-1 win against Manzini Wanderers.

This dominant display unfolded before a capacity crowd of over 1 000 fans, including former Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga and Nsingizini President Derrick Shiba.

The breakthrough arrived in the 12th minute when Man of the Match Yeki Khumalo demonstrated why he is the heartbeat of this Nsingizini side.

Khumalo, who was exceptional on the ball throughout the afternoon, turned provider with a pinpoint corner that allowed Vuyo Macina to rise highest and silence the Amawele faithful. Beyond his assist, Khumalo’s vision and composure dictated the tempo of the game, instilling a fluid confidence that the rookies simply could not contain.

The contest was effectively settled five minutes before the interval when Mlungisi Hlatshwako ghosted into the box to meet an Ayanda Gadlela cross, catching Bhekisisa Sikhondze off his line to double the advantage.
