MATSAPHA – They swapped their football boots for bin bags.

The Lozitha Social team launched a community clean-up campaign in Kwaluseni Zone E, with over 15 players taking part. The drive kicked off at JC Worship Centre and wrapped up at Ok Foods, leaving the area spotless. Speaking after the initiative, Lozitha Board of Elders Chairman Thando Dlamini said:

“It started as ex-players from Lozitha, but it has now opened up to anyone. We’ve grown beyond just playing football – we’re now giving back through corporate social responsibility. We support the needy, especially at Christmas, and while we used to dig into our own pockets, sponsors now step in to help.”

Dlamini added that the clean-up was only the beginning. “We started at Kwaluseni since it’s our neighbour, but we’ll roll out more campaigns in other regions. We are a community-driven team – we have a CSI foundation, and we also support the church.”
