The two rivals faced off in the first game of the E150 000 Swaziland Building Society (SBS) Eswatini National Netball Association (ENNA) week four fixtures, played at the OlympAfrica Multipurpose Courts.

Lightening cruised past Vixens, who had previously been sitting at the summit of the table with six points. The His Majesty’s Correctional Services’ side, who entered the match ranked third with four points, effected a dominant display to record the comprehensive win.

The victory means they are now tied on six points with Vixens, boasting a head-to-head advantage.

Last season’s runners-up, Royal Flames, were in a position to join the tie later in the day when they were scheduled to take on Ballbusters.

Meanwhile, Royal Flames kept their fire burning in the women’s category. The defending champions walloped OlympAfrica 76-12 to tighten their grip on the top table.

The Royal Eswatini Police Service’s charges triumph came during the first match of the women’s showpiece, with other competitive fixtures lined up throughout the day.
