MBABANE – Eswatini CAF Champions League envoys Nsingizini Hotspurs’ opponents, Simba SC, from Tanzania have unveiled a new European coach ahead of their encounter.

The two sides will meet in the final preliminary round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League later this month. The Bulgarian Coach,  Dimitar Pantev, arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and wasted no time setting the tone for his first days in the country, stressing the importance of efficient preparation and familiarity with the squad. Bulgaria is a country in southeast Europe.

“We have little time before the next match, so every session is crucial. Our first goal is to reach the group stage. The club has high ambitions and we are here to match them,” Pantev said.

He is not new to African football. Pantev brings a wealth of experience, having started his coaching career in 2006.

He has worked with clubs including Vladislav Varna, Shabla, Grand Pro Varna futsal club, the Bulgaria national futsal team, Spartak Varna, Palestinian side Alshoban Almuslimin Hebron, Svetkavitsa Targovishte, Victoria United in Cameroon, FC Johansen in Sierra Leone and most recently, Gaborone United in Botswana, where he won the FNB Premiership title.
