LOBAMBA – The Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) has announced a major development for the nation’s sporting community.

This will be rolling out of the Advanced Sport Management Course (ASMC).

The news was disclosed yesterday by EOCGA’s wing, the National Sports Academy Chairperson, Victor ‘Mavikana’ Dlamini and was echoed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Maxwell Jele.

The announcement came during the official closing event for the second and final intake of the Sport Administration Level Two Course, which ran over two weekends this month at Lobamba.

Dlamini revealed the body’s plans to roll out the ASMC, following the successful revival of their sport administration programmes. Two groups had previously enrolled for Level One and have now completed the Level Two Course this month, with participants due to submit their projects next month.

Dlamini banked on the CEO to secure the necessary funding to achieve this goal, jokingly adding that he, too, would need to enrol.

The chairperson also took the opportunity to encourage national association presidents, secretary generals, head teachers, athletes and the media, who were enrolled for Level Two,  to make the most of the knowledge they have acquired.

“We put you first and the rest comes later, so you can benefit and take sport to another, more desirable level in the country. Make use of the information you’ve gained in your respective places so you can spread the gospel of Olympism,” Dlamini said.
