MBABANE - His Majesty King Mswati III met with the former President of Tanzania, Dr Jakaya Kikwete yesterday.

Dr Kikwete is currently in the Kingdom of Eswatini to attend the 76th Health Ministers' Conference, where regional leaders and experts are gathering to discuss critical healthcare strategies and cooperation.

The meeting between the two leaders highlights the strong bilateral ties between Eswatini and Tanzania, as well as their shared commitment to advancing public health initiatives across the African continent.

The Kingdom of Eswatini, in collaboration with the ECSA Health Community (ECSA-HC), will host the 76th Health Ministers' Conference from February 3–5, 2026 (with some, likely preliminary, events indicated as 10-12 February) in Ezulwini, Eswatini. The event at the Happy Valley Hotel will bring together regional health ministers to address "Enhancing Health Systems for Equity, Resilience and Sustainability".
