MATSAPHA – The King has commended the partnership between the Eswatini National Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services (ENFRES) and its counterparts from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.
His Majesty described it as a reflection of growing regional cooperation in emergency management.
Speaking during the Eswatini National Fire Day celebration held at Matsapha Airport, His Majesty said the collaboration between Eswatini and neighbouring states had strengthened capacity and promoted the exchange of knowledge among officers.
He said the ENFRES had earned recognition beyond the country’s borders through its participation in SADC emergency response initiatives. The King added that such cooperation demonstrated the importance of regional solidarity in saving lives and protecting property during disasters.
The king urged all ranks within the ENFRES to continue upholding professionalism and discipline, which he said had earned the institution regional and national respect. He noted that firefighters’ courage and commitment had brought pride to the nation.
