MBABANE – Get ready to ‘Aaah Aaah Aaah!’
South African Amapiano heavyweight Leehleza is confirmed to headline the Back 2 School Party at Mdzimba View Shisanyama as the prefect .Scheduled for February 7, 2026, the event marks a significant return for the artist. This announcement comes on the heels of the massive success of the Denim and White Birthday Party held in November 2025. That event celebrated the birthday of local DJs Sbu De Drum DJ and Sgitha, who is popularly known as ‘Intwana yama 2k’.
Leehleza’s involvement in that milestone event, which was originally hosted at Ocean Cuisine, created a groundswell of demand for a follow-up performance. By securing him for the Back 2 School at Mdzimba View Shisanyama, organisers are signalling a commitment to giving the public what they want, as during his last show in Eswatini he left the crowd yearning for more. “We are bringing him back because of the demand from his fans” Sbu De Drum DJ, one of the event organisers confirmed.
Born Lindelihle Sukazi, Leehleza is no stranger to Eswatini’s nightlife, but his upcoming appearance carries the weight of a seasoned veteran returning to a fan base that has grown alongside the genre. Leehleza’s career trajectory is inextricably linked to the explosion of Amapiano. His early collaborations with Kabza De Small on seminal tracks like ‘Umshove’ and ‘Bamba La’ provided the vocal blueprint for the genre’s global dominance. Recently, he has maintained his relevance with hits like ‘Tobetsa 3.0’ and the 2025 album ‘Da Best’.
The Back 2 School Party has solidified its place as a cornerstone of Eswatini’s social calendar. Serving as the final curtain call for the summer festive energy, the event traditionally draws a massive crowd including students and fun lovers alike looking for one last celebration before the academic and professional year enters full swing.
By securing a veteran of Leehleza’s calibre, the organisers at Mdzimba View are sending a clear message: the 2026 social season is not just starting, it is arriving with a bang. Mdzimba View Shisanyama hosted South African artists almost every month in 2025. They hosted artists such as Makhadzi, Scotts Maphuma, DJ Tira, Kabza De Small, Mshunqisi and many other performers.
