MBABANE - The Eswatini National Trust Commission has announced the forthcoming rehabilitation of Magadzavane Lodge, located in Mlawula.

The project, designated as Phase 2 of the lodge’s rehabilitation, has been subjected to a competitive bidding process under the provisions of the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011.

According to the public notice published on August 14, 2025, the contract for the renovation work is set to be awarded to Emseleni (Pty) Ltd, a Swati-based company. The bid submitted by Emseleni demonstrated the highest evaluation score of 90.8 and a proposed contract price of E3 035 908.70, aligning with the project’s budgetary considerations.

The procurement process considered multiple bids, with other notable submissions including Grey Construction, Heathway Investment and Velekhaya Investment.

All these bids exceeded the allocated budget, with Grey Construction submitting a bid of E3 290 147.30, Heathway Investment E3 109 862.20 and Velekhaya Investment E3 415 666.98. Their respective evaluation scores were 87.3, 86 and 76.6.

The notice also informs all unsuccessful bidders of their right to submit applications for review within 10 working days from the date of first publication.
