MBABANE – The European Union (EU) in Eswatini has announced an opportunity for content creators who are affiliated to civil society organisations to be part of a mentorship programme with Sunshine Cinema.
In collaboration with The European Union in Eswatini Civil Society in Action (CSA) project is supporting the design, production and dissemination of art and media products to advance advocacy on women’s rights and gender equality, inclusion and participation of vulnerable groups, promotion of social and economic rights and climate justice.
According to information shared by the EU, two content creators will get to participate in a mentorship programme.
“As part of this initiative, two content creators will be selected to participate in a mentorship programme with Sunshine Cinema in 2026.
“This is a unique opportunity to strengthen your storytelling, technical and advocacy skills through hands-on mentorship with media professionals passionate about social impact,” they said.
According to Phile Nhlabatsi, the call is for Eswatini creators. “The call is for Eswatini content creators. However, the call is considering applicants who are affiliated to civil society organisations that are members of the eight consortiums who are the partners of the CSA project, co-funded by the European Union in Eswatini,” she said.
Under this programme, content creators stand a chance to win a 10- month mentorship with Sunshine Cinema. Applications to be part of this programme closed yesterday and some of the partners include Yini Loku, Cospe, Cango, United Voices for Diversity, Swaziland Youth Network and Federation of the Disabled in Swaziland (FODSWA), to name a few.
