Eswatini's first Tourism Indaba of the year begins

MBABANE - From Wednesday, August 20, 2025 to Thursday, August 21, 2025, the country will host the inaugural Tourism Indaba.

The event is expected to boost the tourism sector, which is a major contributor to the national economy.

The Minister for Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Jane Simelane unpacked the importance of this event and explored how the country, including (SMEs), stands to benefit during an interview with ‘Market  View’. The event will unfold in the following stages: On Wednesday, there will be a Golf Day hosted at the Ezulwini Golf and Country Club. On the same day, there will be a Gala Dinner at 6:30pm at the Sharma House in Ezulwini. The conference part of the Indaba will also be held at Sharma House on Thursday at 8am.

The event is set to market access for a wide range of African leisure tourism products. The event is expected to benefit SMEs within the tourism industry.
