Jomo to watch Umbelebele
MBABANE – Umbelebele/Cosmos will be boosted by the presence of 51 per cent share-holder, Jomo Sono when they clash head on with Mbabane Highlanders tomorrow.
The two cross town rivals meet in a repeat of the Top Lotto/PLS Cup final at Somhlolo Stadium in what is expected to be an enthralling SwaziBank Cup semi-final clash, starting at 2:45pm.
Interviewed yesterday, the South African soccer living legend, told this newspaper that he was planning to come and watch Umbelebele.
"Last time I missed the Cup final, but I am glad they won and those boys are good. I am planning to come and watch them this weekend if all goes well. I was in Swaziland last week for a different project, which I have under-took, but hopefully I will find time to also watch them play," he said.
Sono said it would be a big achievement in itself if the ‘Skom boys’ would beat Highlanders.
Umbelebele/Cosmos PRO Ray Msibi confirmed that Sono, commonly referred to as ‘Bra J’, had indicated he might honour the game.
"Nothing has been confirmed as yet though as I am awaiting feed-back from Veli, but he had indicated he wanted to come," Msibi said.
He then declared that they had utmost respect for Highlanders, who are in good form but will go there and fight until the end.
"They are a dangerous team and we know that but our preparations have been going well. We will be ready for them." He said confidently.
