MDU STAMPS AUTHORITY AT PARKRUN

MBABANE – Parkrunner Mduduzi Dlamini led the way home in the 207th Mbabane Parkrun yesterday.

The Swazi Slojo’s athlete was once again the first runner to complete the 5km course in a time of 17:14 minutes, as he continues to stamp his authority in the event which is held every Saturday in Mbabane, he was followed by his fellow runner at Swazi Slojo’s Sibusiso Dlamini in a time of 17:38 minutes and the third parkrunner home was James Matse in a time of 17:44 minutes.

The first lady home was another Swazi Slojo’s runner, Nokuphiwa Zwane, who claimed the first position in the absence of youngster Phiwokuhle Bulunga in a time of 23:24 minutes. Also missing this edition was UNESWA athlete Gcinile Magongo, who usually completes with Bulunga for the top two positions. The second runner home in the ladies section was Calisile Mthethwa in a time of 26:17 minutes.
