MBABANE – Ace golfer Nobuhle Dlamini has managed to leave a mark in the Aramco Team Series in Saudi Arabia.

The Lobamba-born golfer was among over 100 top golfers from around the world who were at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club between last Thursday and Friday for the event played under the Ladies European Tour (LET) banner. The golfers competed in teams and Dlamini’s team finished ranked 35th on 10-under-par 278. Each team member pocketed around E21 471 in yesterday’s exchange rate.

According to information sourced from the LET website, a team comprising South Africa’s pair of Nicole Garcia and Casandra Alexander finished top after a flawless round of golf. The golfers carded 29-under-par 259 to each pocket a whopping E601 834.99. It was share from an E8.68 million prize fund. The Aramco Series was divided into two tournaments, with a combined purse of over E18 million. In the other tournament, Dlamini missed the cut. No immediate comment could be sourced from the shining golfer, but on her Twitter account, she had expressed delight on returning to the ‘pure’ Royal Greens Golf and Country Club.

Solid

“Looking forward to building on some solid golf,” read her tweet before the stop in Saudi Arabia. Technically, it was Dlamini’s last tournament of the year in the LET series. However, she has been named as one of the reserves for next Thursday’s season finale in Spain. This tournament is for the cream of the crop and it has a purse of over E11 million. Meanwhile, Dlamini has had mixed fortunes in the LET series this year. Her major highlights included a 11th place finish at the Irish Open in September, this year, when she pocketed over E140 000.
