SIBUSISO MB. PARKRUN ‘GAME CHANGER’

MBABANE – Parkrunner Sibusiso Shabangu, in the absence of top runners Nkululeko Gama and Musawenkhosi Mamba, continues to shine in the Mbabane Parkrun.

He was once again the first runner home in the Mbabane Parkrun 184th edition held at the Mbabane Club on Saturday. He claimed his eighth first place finish after clocking 17:28 minutes.
Breathing down his neck was Swazi Slojo’s athlete Mduduzi Dlamini, who reached the winning point after 17:52 minutes. Veteran runner Mfanukhona ‘Mahlombemfene’ Mhlanga completed the top three with a time of 18:10 minutes.

First

The first lady home was Jama Dlamini, who ran her first parkrun. She clocked 25 minutes to beat last week’s winner in Phiwokuhle Bulunga. The latter clocked in second with a time of 25:20 minutes. Dlamini claimed the 17th position overall, while Bulunga was in position 18. Calisile Mthethwa was third with a time of 26:35 minutes, setting a personal best (PB) in the process. The Mbabane Parkrun welcomed 55 runners overall this past weekend, which was made up of 18 ladies, 29 men and eight unknown or unregistered parkrunners.
