MBABANE – National First Division side Nsingizini Hotspurs have signed one for the future in national under-20 squad forward Mayibongwe ‘Suarez’ Mabuza.

The Shiselweni-based side tied the youngster to a one year contract on registration deadline day last month. The contract can also be renewed if the player and club agree to effect that option. Mabuza, who is a product of development sides SuperSport and Hurricane was signed from elite league rookies Vovovo.
Nsingizini Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mphikeleli Dlamini confirmed the capture of the youngster. “It is true that we have signed the player on a one-year-renewable contract from Vovovo. This is a good investment for us as he is a good striker who will add power upfront,” Dlamini said.

He said Mabuza has played one game so far as he had been part of the Under-20 squad in camp preparing for the postponed 2021 COSAFA Under-20 Men’s Championship which was billed for the country from December 10-18. “He is definitely going to increase competition among the strikers in the team and we are anticipating that he joins us, as we are told that the COSAFA Cup has been postponed,” he said. The team’s publicity also posted the player on the club’s official Facebook page, welcoming him into the club.

“Our beloved supporters join us in welcoming our newly-signed forward Mayibongwe ‘Suarez’ Mabuza from Vovovo, the National Team Under-20 shining star. He has played one match since arriving at the Greens,” reads the post. He further said the player would be with them for the entire 2021/22 MTN National First Division League season.
