MBABANE – Eswatini CAF Confederation Cup representative Young Buffaloes will leave the country today for Zambia.

CAF stands for Confederation of African Football. ‘Amathole Ezinyathi’, as the army side is fondly known, is currently in full time camp preparing for their upcoming continental assignment. It is worth mentioning that they will be facing another army-owned side, Red Arrows from Zambia. According to the team’s Chief Executive Officer, Sandile Gwebu, he said they would not play any friendly game before departure.

Friendly

“It is going to be impossible to play a friendly match ahead of departure, as our flight is scheduled for Wednesday (today) this week,” Gwebu said. Meanwhile, their counterparts, Red Arrows, had a friendly match a week ago against Tanzanian side Azam, which they beat 4-0 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. The international club friendly was part of the ‘Airmen’, as the Zambian side is known, 10-day camp in preparation of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round encounter against ‘Amathole Ezinyathi’.
They scored their goals through Yusuf Saddam, Alidor Kayembe, Allasane Diarra and Nickson Mubili. The game is scheduled for September 11, 2021, in Zambia.
