MANYISA HAS VALID CARD WITH FC VAN

MBABANE – He might have played for Manzini Wanderers this weekend but his registration card is still valid in Armenia, Europe.

That is the story of Leon Manyisa, whose contract with Armenia side FC Van was terminated barely two months after joining the Europe-based side.
The contract was terminated because the club allegedly failed to meet some of his contractual obligations. At least that is according to the former FIFA Accredited agent, Victor McDonald, who facilitated the deal. The club, on the other hand, has come to say it was terminated because of family issues.

The Times Sports Desk has uncovered another startling revelation that Manyisa’s registration card, which is still with FC Van, is valid. This means that Manyisa is still registered with FC Van until the club does a Reverse International Transfer Certificate (RITC).

Until then, Manyisa is still a FC Van player and can only be able to register with Manzini Wanderers during the January Window period which re-opens on January 6 when all documentation has been reversed.

Reached for comment the player’s agent, Victor McDonald pleaded with the nation to be mindful that the boy is still young and therefore appealed for support.
“Leon is a young player that needs to be encouraged to become one of the greatest young players in the world. He does not need all these noise. People should stop using him to fight their wars. He needs our support because I see him as one of the future of Eswatini football,” McDonald said.

Meanwhile, Manzini Wanderers have asked not to comment on the matter until it is addressed in ‘proper forums’.

investigating

The Eswatini Football Association (EFA), through their Marketing and Communications Officer, Muzi Radebe, has appealed for patience from the nation as they were still investigating the issue.

“The are five parties involved here, that is EFA, Armenia Football Association, FC Van, Vovovo and Manzini Wanderers. In short, we cannot respond on the claims that his ITC has not be reversed or not or whether he is eligible to play, we need to gather all the relevant information because we issued a statement,” Radede said.

Meanwhile, Malanti Chiefs have confirmed their protest which they lodged on Saturday citing that Manyisa was illegible to play.
This was confirmed by their acting PRO Mandla Maduna yesterday.
