MBABANE – Is Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze back to his old stunts?  The Mbabane Swallows crafty playmaker arrived in the morning for camp on Sunday at 6.30am, hours before the red and white giants epic SwaziBank Cup last 16 clash against Green Mamba prompting the Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati-led technical team to bench him.

The decision was met much disapproval from Swallows fans as the Total CAF Champions League envoys were send packing in the tournament by a solitary Musa Dlamini strike.

“As usual, all the guys were in camp the night before but Pupu only arrived in the morning. That is why he was not in the starting line-up and unfortunately fans did not understand why he was benched. It’s gross misbehavior and it has to be curb on the root,” our inside source shared.

Also, it is alleged that ‘Pupu’ refused to be introduced as a substitute.
“He was supposed to be the first man in but he refused and Sewu (Richard) was brought instead.”
Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane said he cannot disclose in-house stuff and that what happens in their camp is sorted internally.

“The coaches decide who starts matches,” he said briefly.
Swallows were eliminated on the last 16 stage of the SwaziBank Cup, a tournament that carries a ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup for the second year in a row now.
