MBABANE – It started with 32 teams, down to 16, now down to eight.

Defending champions Royal Leopard are out – but the big three are still very much in it and the main question in yesterday’s SBIS Sport Show was who preferred who ahead of the quarter-finals draw.

The show, which was hosted by Nathi ‘Mdockies’ Hlophe, had all the winning and losing PROs of the teams that played in the last 16 having to answer a question of which team they would now like to play – the interesting response came from big three member Mbabane Swallows acting CEO Sibusiso Manana.

“Of all the people (teams) you see here, nobody wants me (Swallows). They all know they cannot want Swallows, instead we’ll be ready for anyone,” he said when the host posed the question to him.

Mbabane Highlanders PRO Celucolo ‘Dino’ Dlamini, whose team had won a tough battle over Young Buffaloes, when asked same, said; “For now there is someone I wouldn’t want but if they could get other opponents,” without mentioning any names.

Manzini Wanderers’ Mduduzi ‘Mr G’ Ginindza was also reserved as he could only say it was hard to choose given that there would be a draw so they would prepare for whoever they got. Green Mamba, who are the only forces’ side left, declared that they would prepare for anyone they met. Other remaining clubs in the last eight of the SwaziBank Cup are Manzini Sundowns, Midas Mbabane City, Red Lions and Moneni Pirates.
