PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA – His Majesty the King and Inkhosikati LaNkambule  joined more than 27 Heads of State and government officials in witnessing and congratulating South African President Jacob Zuma during his swearing in ceremony at the Union Buildings yesterday.

President Zuma took his oath for a second term in office where he promised a more radical approach to public service delivery, dealing with corruption, job creation and significantly growing the economy.

It was a well coordinated event, decorated with all the glitz and glamour as invited guests ‘suited’ the occasion to the nines. An air-force display and traditional praise singing were the brief but spectacular highlights of the event witnessed by the King and Inkhosikati.

A celebratory concert featuring all the top South African artists provided top-class entertainment for some 18 000 citizens travelling from all corners of the country who danced the afternoon away, some having arrived as early as 5am in the chilly winter morning.
His Majesty and delegation is expected back home today.
