EZULWINI – Shebeen patrons assulated a gay man who was found having sex in a toilet with a married man in Ezulwnini.

Hardly a month after two boys were evicted from the same area where the incident happened, Mvutjini, for being gay, *Sanele Mdluli (39), a self confessed gay man was caught red-handed by a woman, who identified herself as Zikhali, inside the toilet. The married man, *Musa Sukati, is a father of two.

Narrating the ordeal, Zikhali said the community was aware of Mdluli’s gay tendencies but were shocked by Sukati.
However, she said it was a shock to see them in broad day light. Zikhali said the incident happened last Sunday.

“We were having some drinks at my neighbour’s shebeen. The two started touching each other inside the room we were sitting in and we told them that what they were doing was not acceptable since we knew of Mdluli’s gay lifestyle,” she narrated.
After being warned, Mdluli is said to have left to go to the loo but moments later, Sukati is said to have followed to the toilet. Zikhali took note of the two and followed them to the toilet where she found the couple.

“I then raised the alarm; unfortunately Sukati managed to escape leaving Mdluli behind,” she continued.
People who were having drinks promptly responded and tried to chase Sukati but he showed them a clean pair of heels.
Mdluli was then assaulted by the patrons and they ordered an inspection to see what gender he was.
“We discovered that he is a man and nothing strange from him.” she said.

Asked if the incident was the first of its kind, she responded to the affirmative. “However, we all know that he is gay because he also says that himself without fear. Catching him in the act was a first though,” she said.

what does a person's sexual orientation have to do with the next person. I am not gay though i support gay's rights just like i support animals rights though i am not an animal. People of Swaziland, let the gays be..

i honestly dont understand why they had 2 beat sum1 up 4 being gay. Afterall, S.D is a free country,as per the dictates of the constitution. Gays are also humans lyk the rest of us straight people. That was just barbaric. The beaten up guy should just open up a case of assault.

This was an invasion of their privacy! I don't see what consensual sex has to do with shebeen patrons, let alone a regular man on the streets.

I just don't understand why this particular woman had to follow the two or maybe she hoped to score with this sukati guy and then felt disapponted and really why are these people so against gay people in this era because swaziland is supposedly a free country?

Bridgette, what is the meaning of privacy. The picture shows a pit toilet. Since when is a public pit toilet a place of privacy? Emantanyula asiwafuni eSwatini. So, I say big ups to the community cleaning if these acts.

Thank God for those people who beat them up!
We do not want this kind of behavior in our society and we don't want such demonic tendencies transferred to our children.
Fakani umphini! Ngci!
