MBABANE – Lobamba Member of Parliament Majahodvwa Khumalo yesterday had a personal go at his colleague Joseph Madonsela.

Madonsela is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mafutseni Constituency in the Manzini region. The unfortunate scenario played itself out minutes before the commencement of yesterday’s sitting.
MP Khumalo is a younger brother to Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament Marwick Thandukukhanya Khumalo. Marwick was on Tuesday arrested for alleged E5.8 million fraud.

The legislator from Lobamba pounced on Madonsela at the main entrance leading to the reception and staff canteen.
Majahodvwa was sharing a light moment when his colleague emerged from the building headed towards the car park.
“YeMadonsela ngiva kutsi batsi yinjabulo yodvwa kuwe ngalolokwentekile? (I’m told you’re marvelling at the prevailing scenario),” MP Majahodvwa quizzed Madonsela.

The legislator from Mafutseni Inkhundla lazily responded: “Ngicela kungayiphedvuli leyo (I beg not to respond).”
Madonsela elected to play cat and mouse in the matter as he quietly walked away from the Lobamba MP.
Patently, the general mood before commencement of the sitting was sombre.

A majority of the legislators were spotted in splinter groups, however, discussing other issues as opposed to the incarceration of the trio Marwick, Senator Bhutana Dlamini and erstwhile Clerk to Parliament Sanele Nxumalo.
Nxumalo, whose maiden surname is Nkambule, is now the Under Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
