MBABANE – The excitement of the day was evident in His Majesty King Mswati III as he officially opened two buildings and unveiled a statue.

His Majesty King Mswati III displayed his leadership skills as he interacted with the media and guided them to take different positions in the two buildings he visited yesterday.

The jolly side of the Monarch came to the fore when he interacted with members of the Fourth Estate at the Intfutfuko Building – the new Fincorp structure along Gwamile Street.

With a chuckle, the King at the lobby of the new structure said: “Bambani phasi!” which loosely means relax for a moment.
This was when members of the Fourth Estate wanted to exit the lobby which has 15 cubicles. Here, the Chief Executive of Fincorp, Dumisani Msibi, had explained to the Monarch the work that was done within the offices adjacent to the lobby.

After this, journalists wanted to exit the building before the King, so they could position themselves in such a way that they could capture better pictures as he proceeded to other offices.

The next interaction was when His Majesty entered the boardroom of Intfutfukko Building – which is on the third floor of the building. Here, the King, with a charming smile, informed journalists that they should swap sides as he positioned himself on the western side of the building.
He said: “Asi-switch-e,” which loosely means let us switch sides.

On the side he took, as Msibi explained to him the purpose of the boardroom and its teleconferencing gadgets, were the pictures of the country’s leadership hierarchy – His Majesty King Mswati III, the Queen Mother and the Prime Minister, Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini.

Thereafter, journalists joined the Monarch for a photo shoot with the Board and management of the institution. Subsequent to this was the cutting of the ribbon, marking the official opening of the building.

This was at exactly 1:15pm and in appreciation of this, well-wishers who included former Prime Minister Themba Absalom Dlamini, current Premier Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini, ministers and other dignitaries, shouted Bayethe while the women present ululated.
