MANZINI – Just three days after allegedly necklacing a 60-year-old man to death, a suspect turned himself in while an accomplice stayed behind and confessed to the community.

These are the developments regarding the murder of Nicholus Simelane of Salukazi near Maliyaduma, under Kukhanyeni Constituency and both suspects are community members.
Simelane was reported missing on Sunday after he left home to attend a community meeting and never came back.
He was found on Tuesday in a thick bush within the area and his upper body was severely burnt.

It was alleged that there was a tyre that was suspected to have been used to burn him.
A well-placed source within the community alleged that while one suspect went to the police to hand himself over on Wednesday morning, his accomplice met some community members and allegedly confessed how they allegedly carried out the suspected case of vigilante justice.

The source alleged that the suspect told them that they were from watching the 2018 World Cup final soccer match which was between France and Croatia, when they came across Simelane.
“He said they manhandled him and used a shoelace to strangle him to death. He said this without specifying why they attacked him in the first place,” the source alleged.
