MAN ARRESTED FOR KILLING 2 WOMEN, SEX WITH CORPSE

MANZINI – In a rather disturbing incident, a man has been arrested for allegedly killing two women and later having sexual intercourse with one of the corpses.

Normally, men would first rape their victims and then kill them, usually to avoid being identified.
However, with Thembelihle Simelane, he seemed to have preferred the opposite.
In the first murder instance, the 19-year-old Simelane of KoNtshingila not only allegedly committed  murder but further committed necrophilia when he allegedly killed and later raped Zamekile Shongwe.
Necrophilia is a term describing sexual intercourse with a corpse.

On the night of the incident, the woman is said to have come back from a night out and was presumably on her way home when Simelane allegedly attacked her while she was in a drunken stupor.
It seemed Simelane was on a mission as he is said to have, just one month later, strangled another woman to death at Mantjolo and later stole groceries from a shop amounting to E3 647.50.

It is alleged that on the night of May 27 this year, Simelane, who confessed that he had smoked dagga at the time, met Shongwe while she was walking home across some sugar cane fields.
Shongwe was allegedly from a nearby drinking spot and in a questionable state of sobriety. It was gathered that while Shongwe was finding her way home, she fell asleep inside the fields, where she was later found by Simelane.
Simelane is said to have wasted no time and attacked the woman by strangling her with a scarf, suffocating her to death. The scarf is said to have belonged to Shongwe.
After she died, Simelane allegedly undressed and raped her, according to his confession.

His charge sheet reads that, on or about May 27, 2017, at or near Malkerns, the said accused person wrongfully, unlawfully and intentionally killed Zamekile Shongwe, by strangulating her with a scarf around the neck.
On June 8, Simelane is said to have committed the same crime in the same manner. Simelane is accused of having strangled Tengetile Maseko in Mantjolo in the Hhohho Region.
On this night, Simelane is also reported to have confessed that he was under the influence of drugs and saw no other way to stop his hunger pangs than by robbing a shop.
Simelane is alleged to have waited for Maseko to leave through the back door and attacked her. Although she tried to escape, she was no match for Simelane. After he caught up with her, he is alleged to have also strangled her to death using a scarf.
