MANZINI  – An elderly woman’s vision led to the discovery of a man who had committed suicide in a forest.

The man, who has been missing for about a month, was on Wednesday found hanging from a tree, situated at Ekudzeni Mountains.
Reliable sources have revealed that the man, Johannes Sikhondze (30) of Mphini, left home early this month and visited a family traditional healer, who resides at Ekudzeni in the Manzini region, as he was a sickly person. He is said to have stayed there for quite some time.

Sikhondze had been previously informed that his sickness could not be treated traditionally, but he needed to seek assistance in a psychiatric institution.

“After he was informed that he could not be assisted traditionally, it was suggested that he visits the psychiatric hospital.
“This did not go down well with him and since his condition was not that serious, he told us that he would not go to hospital.
“After some time, while the traditional healer had gone out to town, he disappeared from his home this got and everyone worried.
“We looked for him everywhere, however, we could not find him,” a source from the traditional healer’s family, who preferred anonymity, said yesterday.
