MAN COMMITS BESTIALITY WITH DOG
MATSAPHA – A man has been caught committing bestiality with a dog at Mbhuleni.
According to Macmillan dictionary, bestiality is a sexual activity between a person and an animal.
The relationship between the man and dog was discovered about a month ago by family members.
This was revealed by the man, *Drums during an interview on Saturday after he was caught by Mbhuleni community police who had been looking for him for another crime.
“I do not know what really got into me to commit such an act. I think it is bad luck,” he said while facing down, scratching the ground with his toes.
When admitting that he had sexual intercourse with the dog, Drums disclosed that he was drunk.
Asked if he was aware that bestiality was a crime, Drums responded to the affirmative.
Drums, who was found in the company of community police, when pressed why he then committed the crime, looked away and did not respond.
Drums, who said he does not know his age because he was illiterate, mentioned that he lured the dog to a secluded spot.
After being caught in the act by family members, Drums disappeared from the area until he was found yesterday.
About his background, Drums explained that he neither had a wife or children.
A family member who did not was to be identified alleged that the bestiality had been going for about three months.
“The reason we suspect that the relationship has been going on for about three months is that the two had become the best of friends.
“Even the dog owner could not get the same attention as Drum,” the family member said.
A community police, Terror, who was found interrogating the suspect, disclosed that the dog had since given birth to puppies.
Smiling, Terror said this did not mean they were the product of bestiality because there was nothing human about puppies.
He mentioned that they were alerted by Drum’s family that he had committed such an offence.
Verbatim, Terror said: “Batsi lapha ekhaya lona beka sajola nalenja.” This is loosely translated, “The family alleges that this man was in a love relationship with the dog.”
Police Information and Communications Officer Assistant Superintendent Khulani Mamba said police had received information that a man of Mbhuleni had committed bestiality.
Even though no person had opened a case against the man, Mamba said they were investigating the matter.
