PIGG’S PEAK - There was drama at Herefords yesterday when three teachers from the local high school went to fetch two female pupils from the house of a male nurse who is employed in the local clinic.

The two pupils were found by the teachers inside the bedroom of the nurse, who was with a male friend, who is a police officer. The two girls decided to escape from school to the nurses’ quarters in the morning while classes were going on.

One of the pupils is doing Form III while the other one is in Form IV at Herefords High School.

The school Principal Sipho Madonsela confirmed the matter, saying it was after receiving information that he instructed his deputy and two male teachers to go and look for the pupils at the nurse’s house.

He said to their surprise the teachers found the children inside the nurse’s bedroom who was with another male friend. Madonsela said the three teachers were able to forcefully take the pupils back to school where they were questioned and later ordered to go home and fetch their parents.

"We also gathered that this is not the first time the pupils have visited that place as we have been told that they are regulars. It was upon asking them what they were doing there that they confessed to having relationships with the people they were found with in the bedroom," he said.

He also stated that the matter was now being dealt with by the school committee and the Chairman of the school in conjunction with the administration.

The principal said they had been closely following this matter as they also gathered that the pupils sometimes visit the nurse’s house on weekends.

...girls suspended from school

HEREFORDS - The two pupils who were found in the bedroom of a nurse employed at Herefords Clinic have been suspended until tomorrow.

Principal Sipho Madonsela said they had ordered the children to come to school on tomorrow with their parents. He said it is on this day that they will be meeting the pupils with their parents, since they want to see them before they take a decision.

"We once ordered the two implicated pupils to come with their parents, but they came with strangers. It is true the pupils have been stopped from coming to school, pending the arrival of their parents for the meeting," he reiterated.

Wow!!! Lo, what has become of this people that the Govt has trust with its nation. Does Cop mean Royal Swaziland Police Officer? If it does, I'm afraid I cant say much. Did they say nurse? I really dont understand, how do the female students should I say pupils come to the whole picture? Aren't the Police and Nurses suppossed to protect these pupils from the same? really I'm just wondering if helping pupils to abscond and bunk classes will produce any more nurses and cops in the near future. I'm afraid His Majesty's 1st world dream is becoming more and more "ideal" in the natural sense of the word.
