How they cheat govt

Sir,

This is to bring to the attention of the Accountant General, internal audit, auditor general and Anti Corruption Commission the anomalies going on in claims of overtime by civil servants.

I have observed officers making fraudulent claims.
For example, you find an officer working at headquarters but his/her claim is authorised from another centre (outside his workstation). So, it is clear that there is collusion between the claimants, supervisors and some treasury staff.
This is corruption.

It needs to be addressed soonest.
May I remind those working in the accounts sections to maintain their integrity even when pressurised. I know we are underpaid but let us be patient and not waiver from our ethics.
It is part of our duties to take care of government coffers.
