MANZINI - Tsa Felo, hello!

These lyrics borrowed from Felo Le Tee and Toss ‘Manca’ song were the opening words from South African DJ Lamiez Holworthy. It was her fourth time gracing the stage in Eswatini; this was over the weekend at popular hangout spot The XChange Lounge. Lamiez Holworthy brought her signature Deep House nostalgic sounds, while she also lauded her Amapiano delivery; the female jockey sure had the crowd on their feet.

It was the perfect flow, a session filled with soulful and reflective House beats, another with private school yanos, and then the golden touch from the Scorpion Kings, that had everyone screaming ‘Lamiez we wanna party’. Presentation matters to the 30-year-old DJ who is half Indian and half Nigerian; because when she took to the stage she looked the part. Clad in a tiny red two piece set, consisting of a skirt and an English blazer finished off with crystals, Lamiez appeared comfortable in her own skin. Local make-up artist Bubu White made sure she looked even more gorgeous.
