COVID-19 PANDEMIC WON’T STOP EPIC POETRY

MBABANE - Relentless!

With events being postponed and/or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, entertainers and facilitators have been feeling at great loss and discouraged, but not the relentless spoken-word poets Majaha Nkonyane, Dede The Poet, MoCats, Poetic General  and Anthonimas depoet who perfomed at a show dubbed ‘Nkhondlo Vuselela’ at Hilton Garden Inn, Mbabane. Local female poet MoCats opened the floodgates of thoughts with two moving poems based on betrayal and sadness.

The emotion she expressed and gestures displayed left the audience seated at the edge of their chairs while deep sounds expressing dismay and sympathy suddenly dominated the hall. These sounds were coming from the attention-paying audience. Besides MoCats being a highlight following overwhelming rounds of applause and cheers after her recital, local poet Poetic General ignited the house with energy and a bit of some excitement as he performed. His presence on stage was hard to miss as he made dramatic moves and gestures. while reciting the poem which also displayed his lyrical abilities.
