Majored

She then majored in ballet in her Matric year which saw her achieve a distinction in the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced Level Two examinations in the same year. Miss South Africa is a leadership platform for ambitious young South African women.
Through a pageantry process, contestants receive world-renowned coaching in addition to advanced networking, business and life skills. Shaped into brand ambassadors for SA, they become champions of women’s rights, leaders and savvy career women who inspire other young South Africans to fulfil their potential, recognise their self-worth and find their place in the world. In an interview with this publication, Mswane revealed that she was aiming at tackling the unemployment rate in that country and was elated at being part of the Miss SA top 10 finalists. “I believe that my advocacy against the abatement of unemployment in our nation is one which requires dire attention,” she said. She went on to add that having the full support of the Miss South Africa organisation would provide greater impact in the quest for meaningful and long-lasting solutions.

Qualified

The other nine contestants she is up against are Moratwa Masina (24), a qualified medical doctor, Cheneil Hartzenberg (24), who is a commercial pilot, Kgothatso Dithebe (26) currently pursuing LLB Degree, Jeanni Mulder (25) a full-time model, Kaylan Matthews (25) a Human Movement Science student, Bianca Bezuidenhout (22) a Marketing Communications graduate, Catherine Groenewald (23) a fitness instructor, Tiffany Francis (22) model agency director and public vote winner Zimi Mabunzi (26), a BCom Law student. The 63rd edition of Miss South Africa takes place on Saturday, October 16 in a glamorous and entertainment-packed pageant. It will be taking place in Cape Town’s Grand West Arena and screened live on M-Net and Mzansi Magic. One of the top 10 will inherit the glittering crown from current Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida.
