MATSAPHA – Tinsimbi!  The latter word which means bells and is popular among deep house music die-hard fanatics, was the order of the day at the inaugural House Music Festival which took place at Esibayeni Lodge last Saturday.
The first show which was embraced by over 500 fun and deep house music lovers, proved to be musically rich from the very first set on stage until the last one at 5am.

The show started kicking off just after 2.30pm after the house music round table and appreciation awards which were hosted by Best on Beats.
Attendees were soothed with ‘expensive’ house music by music producer Ziyawa, who was followed by Ipileng and Tonic Deep who set the tone for the night.

SwaziBoy Entertainment’s DJ Crooks took over the decks just after 9pm and he managed to flock the dance floor with revellers who were hungry for the night’s music. In his rendition, he proved to be in a trance as he went sentimental with his DJ-ing kit. People sang along to the tracks that he was dishing out.

Another stunner for the night was South African DJ and music producer Andy X, who took over the decks just after midnight. He also played his signature song ‘Changes in My Life’, fusing it with other popular tracks. It is during his set where almost all the attendees got to their feet.

All the other sets, including South Africa’s DJ Terrance, Oscar Mbo, Tibza and others were a stunner.
However, the crowd, mainly constituted of men, proved to be deep house music fanatics. Also, the dance floor was flocked by men who just danced the night away in honest happiness and smiles in music.
