MAMBA HUNT FOR TOP SPOT

MBABANE – League title hopefuls Green Mamba and Mbabane Swallows will renew their rivalry in a ‘Y’ello’ blockbuster this evening.

It is squeaky-bum time in the MTN Premier League.
A slip-up by either side will be a recipe for disaster.

With the other title hopefuls in Young Buffaloes and Royal Leopard only in action tomorrow; another victory for Caleb Ngwenya’s men against Swallows can steer them to the summit of the charts again. In the reverse fixture back on September 30, 2018, two unanswered goals by Musa Dlamini and Mxolisi Mkhontfo put Swallows to the sword. After blowing hot and cold of late, Green Mamba will hope to claim a big scalp to start breathing again.

However, they know it will not be easy this time around against a Swallows outfit who are proving to be a late bloomer. Swallows will be minus winger Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko and midfield maestro Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu, who picked injuries in the last outing.

Despite the setback, they will be buoyed by their recent resurgence, as they are unbeaten since the arrival of veteran gaffer Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe.
It is an opportunity for Swallows, who are six points shy of the top spot, to soar closer to defending their title. A win will ensure they keep up with the chasing pack and jump to the second spot.
