Talent will be witnessed this weekend as the Swazi BankSchools Choral Competition kicks off on June 16.
The competition currently holds the biggest sponsorship in as far as the country’s choral music is concerned, at a staggering E400 000. The competition will begin with the soloist eliminations scheduled for this Saturday at St. Theresa’s Hall in Manzini. This will be followed by the regional eliminations which are expected to start on June 20 up until June 23, 2018.

Then the finals of the competition will start on June 28 and the main final, known as the ‘Champ of Champs’, will be held on July 1, 2018 at a venue to be confirmed.
The competition, which is among the biggest choral competitions in the country, will see choirs consisting of primary and high school pupils competing.

Khona Dlamini, Swaziland National Schools Choral Music Association (SNSCMA) Chairperson said choral music fans should not miss out on the opportunity of hearing the sweet melodic sounds.
“Thank you to SwaziBank who has once again given the pupils the opportunity to showcase their talent at an early stage. We have seen how talented they are and we are all looking forward to the finals,” he said.
He assured choral music lovers that this year’s finals would be nothing but the best.

“Mine would be to invite all choral music lovers to attend the competition. As from this weekend we will be hosting the soloists and we will be having a series of events throughout the week,” he said.
