MBABANE – One’s hard work and efforts never go unnoticed and Ukraine- based scholar Mbongiseni Msibi has landed himself an acting role as an extra in a Ukraine production titled ‘Truth’.

‘Truth’ is an action movie and is already being shot at different locations in Ukraine.

Asked on how he got the role, Msibi said he was invited by a friend to audition for the role as he had previously seen the work he had put in the locally produced film ‘Shadow of Death’ that he shot and produced in the country.

Excited

“I am super excited for the chance given to me. In as much as it may sound like being an extra in a film is a small achievement, I believe that it is a first step to greater things. My film ‘Shadow of Death’ is also doing great and receiving a lot of YouTube views so I am definitely on the right path,” said Msibi.

He further went on to say that like many hardworking actors out there, some of the biggest names in Hollywood had to work their way up and start as extras first.
“So since I got the role, iv (sic) always told myself that because I am working hard I must not wonder when my big break will come because I am already walking in the right path.”

The Ukraine-based actor is currently on set for the film and has said it will soon be on our screens.
The trailer of the film will be available online and people will have access to it as well.
Msibi runs Fish Entertainment from there. Apart from having a role in ‘Truth’ He has recruited locals to feature in his own locally- produced film titled ‘Shadow of death’.
The film was shot in Sidwashini, Mbabane.
The film debuted in Ukraine where the event was attended by over 300 locals and students in support of Msibi.
Problem
‘Shadow of Death’ is about two brothers who have lost their parents. The brothers then decide to go try their luck with finding employment in town as they now have to be the sole providers.
The younger brother ends up associating himself with the wrong crew that is involved in alcohol and drugs which ends up being a problem for him as his life is now in danger.
The scope of the film is aimed at educating the youth that there is life beyond shortcuts.
It also encourages them to better their lives through legitimate doings and this is shown through the elder brother’s character, who works hard trying to find jobs and ends up working at a salon to try and provide for his well being.
