TENDER SPECIFICATIONS INDABA TODAY

MBABANE – The Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) will today host a procurement seminar to discuss how to develop effective tender specifications.

This was mentioned by ESPPRA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vusi Matsebula in an interview with this public. The seminar will be Esibayeni lodge in Matsapha from today to July 21, 2022. Matsebula said the specification is the most important document within the tender as it provides suppliers with a description of the services or goods required, to allow them to propose the most appropriate solution or products at the best price.

He said the seminar will discuss the importance of clear and effective specifications, defining the need and establishing user requirements.
“We will also look at the various tools and techniques for outlining and structuring specifications of the different categories of procurement and the challenges with developing specifications,” he said. The CEO Added that releasing and controlling the specifications document will also be discuss as well as developing the evaluation plan and determination of the right evaluation criteria. Matsebula added that the role of specifications in contract award disputes and the contractual role of specifications will not be left out.
