Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

MBABANE – Government, through the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, is providing an opportunity to suitably qualified local contractors to tender for specialised civil works.

The works involve road marking and signage to the MR8 Road (Hhelehhele Junction to Lavumisa Traffic Circle Road). Tender documents are available upon payment of a non-refundable E500 payable at any Eswatini Government Revenue offices. A tender security of E5 000 is among the requirements. A bid security is an amount of money that may be calculated as a percentage of the budget estimate of a procurement requirement or a percentage of a bidder’s bid price.

Protection

It is used by the client as protection against bidders withdrawing their bids prior to the end of their bid validity period, or for refusing to sign the contract. The bid security is intended to deter bidders from withdrawing their bids because they would otherwise forfeit the bid security amount to the client. It gives the client some assurance that the selected bidder will sign the contract or otherwise forfeit their bid security. Each completed tender should be in a sealed envelope and endorsed in the correct tender title and the original and copy documents correctly labelled and all addressed to the Secretary, Government Tender Board, Treasury Department .P. O. Box 58,Mbabane. All bids must be in by September 24 at 9am.
